Where the rules differ

These regions set their own rules, and listings there are checked against them.

  • Lagos

    No fixed legal cap

The Lagos State Tenancy Law 2011 limits rent in advance for new tenants in most of the state; some areas, such as Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Apapa and Ikeja GRA, are exempt.

General information, not legal advice. Rules change; always check your tenancy agreement.
